Twenty Million England Fans Go Wild Across The Country as Lionesses WIN Nerve-Shredding Euro Final

TWENTY million fans nationwide roared on the Lionesses tonight in the country’s biggest girl power football party ever.

England’s landmark Euros victory at Wembley turned into a historic celebration of the women’s game amid joyous revelry.

As well as the sport’s seasoned supporters, many — including millions of men — tuned in for the first time as Sarina Wiegman’s battlers did us proud.

A huge fan-fest exploded with joy at the Boxpark venue in the shadow of Wembley as Ella Toone’s brilliant lobbed opener put England in front.

The beers and cheers kept coming despite Lina Magull’s late German equalizer.

And the roof came off as super-sub Chloe Kelly poked home the extra-time winner and tore off her shirt in wild celebration.

Wembley Way became a red and white sea as face-painted, flag- waving revellers whooped it up in scenes once unimaginable for a women’s game.

And there was nothing but smiles and camaraderie among rival fans and families enjoying the festivities together.

More than 7,000 lion hearts, backed by Sun mascot Harry Mane, roared on our girls on at a fan zone in Trafalgar Square.

Hayley Oldring, 27, was up from Bournemouth with parents Gary, 60, and Karen, 59, before heading to Wembley for the final.

The recruitment consultant said: “I was lucky enough to get these tickets in the ballot back in November. Even then, I had faith and confidence they could go all the way.”

They were joined by Hayley’s brother Matt, 30, who cut short his Italian holiday to watch the final.

The primary school teacher, from Leeds, said: “Regardless of the score, the Lionesses are making their own history.

“The men could certainly learn a thing or two from them.”

Superfan Tess Dolan, eight, who melted the nation’s hearts when filmed dancing to Sweet Caroline after Tuesday’s semi, landed a final day treat yesterday.

The adorable youngster jumped for joy when she was handed the shirt worn by Alessia Russo, whose sublime back heel was England’s third goal of four in the win over Sweden.

Bubbling with excitement, stars truck Tess, of Knaresborough, North Yorks, screamed: “That is amazing!”

She was one among millions dancing with glee last night.

The moment the whistle sounded, the 87,192 fans watching at Wembley burst into song in phenomenal scenes.

The crowd is the biggest-ever in the UK for a Euros final.
