Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju, while addressing the 1st All India District Legal Service Authorities meet said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed CMs of all states and Chief Justices of High Courts to prioritise cases involving under trial prisoners.
“National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) has launched a campaign ‘Release UTRC@75’ from 16th July for identifying eligible prisoners & recommending release of fit cases to Under Trial Review Committee,” said Minister Rijiju.
