Currently, proceedings are going on in the Islamabad Supreme Court on the ruling of Deputy Speaker Punjab Dost Mazari. When the Chief Minister was elected in the Punjab Assembly on July 22, Deputy Speaker Dost Mazari canceled 10 votes of Parvez Elahi and elected Hamza Shahbaz as Chief Minister. Dost Mazari ruled that PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat has written a letter to stop his party members from voting for the PTII candidate pervaiz Elahi. Dost Mazari said that he is giving the ruling based on the decision of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has said that the Deputy Speaker has wrongly referred to the decision of the Supreme Court, while the Supreme Court did not write this in its decision. PTI has filed a case in Supreme Court Registry Lahore against the ruling of Deputy Speaker Dost Mazari, on which the lawyers are giving arguments in supreme court.
