AAP’s ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ blooper: Wrong photo of freedom fighter put up in Delhi
  • 2 years ago
The Aam Aadmi Party has been caught in a massive controversy after it misidentified an Indian freedom fighter in its posters in Delhi. The AAP wanted to feature Indian scholar Mahmud Hasan Deobandi on the flex board put up several months ago at the ‘freedom fighter fountain’ in Delhi's Jamia Nagar. Deobandi is one of the co-founders of the Jamia Millia University in Delhi's Jamia Nagar. However, the final print had the photo of Bangladeshi Islamic scholar Maulana Mahmudul Hasan alongside photos of Indian freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Sukhdev, Shaheed Ashfaqullah Khan and others.
