I Lost All My Teeth At 17 | SHAKE MY BEAUTY

FAITH, 23, from Missouri, was addicted to meth for over six years, causing her to lose friends, weight - and all her teeth. She explained to Truly how her drug use began: "I started using with friends, it was a cool thing to do, smoke weed and drink. Then next thing I knew I was chasing this high." Adding that, in her addiction "it got so bad to where I thought I'd be better off without life." She was addicted to hard drugs for six years, and during that time she neglected her self-care, and in particular, her dental hygiene. This caused her teeth to slowly start to deteriorate. "I had my first chip tooth and rot tooth, and then it just kind of went downhill from there", she said. Now sober, Faith had a set of dentures fitted, and she has been opening up about her experience on TikTok. She is urging others to steer clear of drugs while working to break the stigma around dentures. For her, they have given her a newfound sense of confidence and affected her health positively, after losing weight from the pain of her tooth loss. "Once I got used to eating with my dentures, I gained weight because I was so excited to eat food that I just kept eating food super fast." Faith proudly takes out her dentures online, wanting to break the stereotype that only 'old people' wear dentures.
