WATCH | The Hunt For Benjamin Guggenheim's State-Rooms Of The Titanic

Benjamin Guggenheim was a prominent American businessman who boarded the ship with Léontine Aubart, his mistress.

As passengers hurried to board lifeboats, he and his personal valet, Victor Giglio, famously deserted the boat deck, instead retreating to their quarters and wearing their finest suits. According to several survivors, they intended to "go down like gentlemen."

Benjamin and Giglio were last seen drinking brandy and smoking cigars as the Titanic sunk. Neither of them survived, but their epic tale garnered worldwide attention in the aftermath of the disaster.
