Cardinal George Pell and the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne are being sued for damages by the father of a choirboy, who prosecutors had alleged was sexually abused by the cardinal in 1996. The high court cleared Cardinal Pell of any criminal charges, but the man is taking civili action seeking compensation for psychological harm.
