Malcolm Brogdon Trade Shows the Celtics Are ALL IN
  • 2 years ago
The Celtics biggest offseason move this season was a heist, as Brad Stevens and the Boston Celtics organization pulled of trading 5 bench players and a protected 2023 first for Guard Malcolm Brogdon. Although, the move is going to cost the Celtics owners almost 20 million into dollars, as the team was over the luxury tax when gaining Brogdon's $22.6 million cap hit, resulting in the NBA's fifth-largest payroll at more than $170 million for 2022-23 (per Spotrac).

Not only is this move providing more certain depth for the Celtics, but it is providing more certainty that the front office believes that this team can return to the NBA Finals. In this clip of Celtics Beat, WEEI Brian Barrett and Evan Valenti reflect how the Malcolm Brogdon trade shows the Celtics are ALL IN!
