On the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi on Sunday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde along with his wife offered prayers to Lord Vitthal and Goddess Rukmini at the famous temple in Pandharpur town, during which they wished prosperity for every section of the society. According to the tradition, the current Chief Minister of Maharashtra worships in this temple every year on the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi.

रविवार को आषाढ़ी एकादशी के अवसर पर Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde ने अपनी पत्नी के साथ पंढरपुर शहर के प्रसिद्ध मंदिर में भगवान विट्ठल और देवी रुक्मिणी की पूजा-अर्चना की , इस दौरान उन्होंने समाज के प्रत्येक वर्ग की समृद्धि की कामना की।काफी लंबे समय से चली आ रही परंपरा के मुताबिक महाराष्ट्र के मौजूदा मुख्यमंत्री हर साल आषाढ़ी एकादशी के अवसर इस मंदिर में पूजा करते हैं
