A ground-breaking report has shed light on the widespread impact of domestic violence on mothers. The research has revealed for the fist time tthat 60 per cent of single mothers have previously suffered violence at the hands of their partner. The report's author concludes changes to parenting payments by successive governments have left many of those women and their families in povery.
