MVA govt was indecisive on issues related to Dawood Ibrahim, Mumbai riots: CM Shinde
  • 2 years ago
Noting that there must be a ‘big reason’ for 50 MLAs to leave a ruling alliance, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on July 06 said that the previous MVA government which had Congress and Shiv Sena as constituents could not make a decision when matters concerning Hindutva or Veer Savarkar or that on Mumbai blasts and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim came up.

“In 2019, we contested polls with BJP but the government was formed with Congress, NCP and due to that when issues like Hindutva, Savarkar, Mumbai bomb blasts, Dawood Ibrahim, and others came, we were not able to take any decision," Shinde said.

“Our MLAs faced difficulty in carrying out works in their constituencies as allies were trying to empower those who lost to them. Our MLAs were unable to do development works due to lack of funds. We spoke to seniors but to no avail. So our 40-50 MLAs did this,” he added.
