NSW bee industry in lockdown after discovery of mite

Authorities in New South Wales have ordered the destruction of more than 300 beehives as part of the effort to contain the spread of a deadly parasite. A state-wide ban on the movement of beehives has comes into effect following the discovery of the Varroa mite.
