Counting of votes is going on for the by-elections held in 7 assembly seats and 3 Lok Sabha seats of the country. By-elections were held on Rampur and Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh while Sangrur Lok Sabha seat in Punjab. Whereas voting was also held on June 23 for by-elections to seven assembly seats of Delhi, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and Tripura. On the other hand, the political future of many people including Chief Minister Manik Saha is at stake in the by-elections in Tripura. First the counting of votes received by post started. After this the EVM will be opened. Security arrangements have been beefed up for counting of votes.

देश की 7 विधानसभा सीटों और 3 लोकसभा सीटों पर हुए उपचुनाव के वोटों की गिनती जारी है. उत्तर प्रदेश में रामपुर और आजमगढ़ जबकि पंजाब में संगरूर लोकसभा सीट पर उपचुनाव हुआ. जबकि दिल्ली, झारखंड, आंध्र प्रदेश और त्रिपुरा की सात विधानसभा सीटों पर भी उपचुनाव के लिए 23 जून को मतदान हुआ था. उधर त्रिपरा में उपचुनाव में मुख्यमंत्री माणिक साहा समेत कई लोगों का राजनीतिक भविष्य दांव पर लगा है. सबसे पहले डाक से मिले मतों की गिनती शुरू हुई. इसके बाद EVM खोला जाएगा. मतगणना के लिये सुरक्षा व्यवस्था चाक चौबंद की गयी है.
