While stores may be running short of lettuce and spinach right now, shoppers are being warned of a looming potato shortage as more growers threaten to leave the industry. Some producers around Busselton in WA about 200 kilometres south of Perth, say their costs have doubled and big buyers like supermarkets and processors not budging on the price they pay them.
