Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has now announced that the UP government will give preference to Agniveers in police and other services.

केंद्र सरकार की तरफ से सेना में चार साल की भर्ती के लिए घोषित की गई अग्निपथ योजना को लेकर देश के राज्यों में विरोध की गूंज सुनाई दी, उत्तर प्रदेश में भी कई शहरों में युवा सड़क पर उतर । बुलंदशहर, मथुरा, प्रयागराज, गोरखपुर में युवाओं ने प्रदर्शन किया।इस बीच अब Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ने एलान किया है कि अग्निवीरों को यूपी सरकार पुलिस व अन्य सेवाओं में वरीयता देगी।
