Presidential Polls 2022: 11 Nominations Filed, Sharad Pawar Says No To Becoming Opposition's President Candidate

On June 15, eleven people filed their nominations for the Presidential election, reported The Hindu. The Election will take place on July 18. On June 15, the Election Commission issued the notification for the polls, beginning the nomination period. On June 15, Sharad Pawar declined the offer to run for President. Pawar tweeted saying that he appreciates the leaders of opposition parties for suggesting his name. Trinamool Congress leader Derek O'Brien tweeted, “17 Opposition parties to field JOINT CANDIDATE for Presidential poll.” Watch the video to know more.
