The dates for the presidential election have been announced, after which the ruling BJP and the opposition camp at the center are seen intensifying their preparations at their respective levels. On the one hand, a joint meeting of all the opposition parties was held in Delhi under the leadership of Mamta Banerjee, while on the other hand the ruling party also took reconnaissance of the leaders of the opposition party. According to sources, Rajnath Singh has held talks with senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee and SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav.

राष्ट्रपति चुनाव की तारीखों का ऐलान हो चुका है, जिसके बाद अब केन्द्र में सत्तारूढ़ बीजेपी और विपक्षी खेमा अपने-अपने स्तर की तैयारियां तेज़ करता दिख रहा है। ममता बनर्जी की अगुवाई में दिल्ली में एक ओर जहां, तमाम विपक्षी दलों की संयुक्त बैठक हुई, वहीं दूसरी ओर सत्ता रूढ़ दल ने भी विरोधी दल के नेताओं की टोह ली। सूत्रों के मुताबिक राजनाथ सिंह ने वरिष्ठ कांग्रेस नेता मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे, TMC सुप्रीमो ममता बनर्जी और सपा सुप्रीमो अखिलेश यादव से बातचीत की है।
