Woman accused of helping her son hide hit and run victim granted bail

A woman accused of helping her son hide the body of an alleged hit and run victim has been granted bail despite prosecutors claiming she had already attempted to "avoid prosecution." Deborah Mason has been in prison since she was arrested in the wake of a human leg being found on the side of the Stuart Highway last month. Family members of the alleged victim today remembered her as a "much-loved" mother and grandmother and a warning, this story contains the image of an Indigenous person who has died used with permission of her family.
