Kolkata Police released BJP West Bengal President Sukanta Majumdar after detaining him for trying to visit Howrah on Saturday. He was arrested by Police under preventive sections while he was on the way to the Howrah protest site as Section 144 remains in effect. Talking to ANI, BJP West Bengal President Sukanta Majumdar said, “State government can't assure security to the people of Bengal, they're shutting down the internet. CM said that she used to control goons, now it seems like goons are controlling her. We'll go to see our (vandalised) party office after discussion with the party.”
