Matthew McConaughey At The White House, Uvalde-Born Actor Calls For Stricter Gun Laws

On June 7, actor Matthew McConaughey visited the White House. 52-year-old McConaughey made an emotional appeal for ‘gun responsibility’. This comes after the brutal killings at an elementary school in his hometown of Uvalde, Texas. He said, “We are in a window of opportunity right now that we have not been in before, a window where it seems like real change, real change can happen.” McConaughey visited Uvalde and met with the families of the victims.
