'Surfing the Wedge in Newport Beach is almost every surfer's dream, but for the guy shown in this video, it was nothing less than a nightmare!
Shared by James Ferrell, this WILD footage shows a surfer getting shot into the air by a gigantic wave, and then immediately splashing back into the water.
"A bodyboarder got launched by the backwash from the wave and wiped out!" James said.
