Puttalam To Anuradhapura is 75 km. Bus takes an hour and 30 minutes. Anuradhapura is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka, famous for its well-preserved ruins of an ancient Sinhala civilization. I took a tuk tuk and visited sacred city of Anuradhapura in three hours. It is very famous among Buddhists pilgrims. Anuradhapura was earlier the capital of the Island (in ancient times) and most of the Kings who ruled Sri Lanka resided in this vast city. There are eight sacred places.
