Police investigating veterans rally organisers under PAA

A police probe is ongoing under the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012 against organisers of the armed forces veterans’ rally at the National Monument yesterday.
Dang Wangi district police chief Noor Dellhan Yahaya said that several individuals have been identified to assist with investigations as “no application for a rally permit” was received from the organisers.
“Therefore, police have identified several individuals among the rally organiser.
“Those identified will be summoned soon to have their statements recorded,” Dellhan was quoted as saying by Malaysia Gazette, adding that investigations will be conducted under Section 9(1) of the PAA for unlawful assembly.
