Outback Queensland tourism operators struggling amid rising fuel prices

Last year outback Queensland was the place to be but this year tourism operators say their caravan parks and motels are eerily quiet. Visitor numbers boomed during two years of COVID travel restrictions but now re-opened borders, recent wet weather, and high fuel prices are keeping tourists away in what should be peak season.
