Austin Butler's Acting in Elvis Movie Floods Praise, Gets 12-Minute Standing Ovation at Cannes.

Audiences at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival trembled at Austin Butler's acting as king in the world premiere of Baz Luhrmann's Elvis.

The film even received a 12-minute standing ovation. As the cheers continued, a tearful Butler hugged Priscilla Presley.

Elvis Presley's ex-wife was emotional. She flew to the South of France to give her blessing for the film about her late husband.

Warner Bros Musical. Cannes was flooded with praise as Butler recreated some of Presley's biggest hits including Jailhouse Rock, Blue Suede Shoes and Suspicious Minds.


Elvis is one of the biggest films to screen at Cannes, with star-studded carpets. Starting from Sharon Stone, Shakira, Kylie Minogue, Diplo, Jeremy O. Harris and Italian rock band Måneskin.
