Dicky Budiman: Indonesia Living with Covid-19 Endemic | Off The Script by Katadata
  • 2 tahun yang lalu
In this episode, our host Gundy Cahyadi talks with dr. Dicky Budiman, an epidemiologist from Griffith University about lessons learned from Covid-19 and how Indonesia can live with the endemic.

Covid-19 has exposed the inadequacies of Indonesia's public health service. But it has also presented the authorities with an opportunity to make improvements for the future. Indonesia needs to be prepared to face another variant of Covid-19 or the next pandemic, which is a matter of when and not if.

For the time being, the good news is that restrictions have been eased in Indonesia, just like what's happening in the world. Leisure tourism is slowly but surely returning close to the pre-pandemic level. Indonesia should enjoy this moment while staying ready to face future global health threats.
