Akhilesh Yadav-Keshav Prasad Maurya verbal spat in UP Assembly: Who crossed the line? | Overview

In this episode of Overview, Senior Journalist and Founder The Public India, Anand Vardhan Singh talks about the verbal spat between former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh and Deputy Chief Minister of UP Keshav Prasad Maurya in UP Assembly. During the session on Wednesday, Keshav Prasad Maurya said to Akhilesh Yadav that he didn’t bring money by selling his land Saifai to build the roads in UP, and in retaliation to it, Akhilesh Yadav asked Keshav Maurya if he brings money for such works from his father? This heated argument went on for some time and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had stepped in to pacify both sides.
Anand Vardhan Singh further talks about the Rajya Sabha nomination from Uttar Pradesh in which Congress leader Kapil Sibal has filed his nomination as an independent, with the support of the Samajwadi Party. Akhilesh Yadav has also supported Jayant Chaudhary of RLD for Rajya Sabha.
He finally talks about JKLF Leader Yaseen Malik who has been sentenced to life imprisonment for his acts done in the early nineties. But after Yaseen Malik was released from jail, he announced to give up weapons and follow Gandhian thoughts to resolve the Kashmir issue.
