There are commercial parasailing operations all over the world. Land-based parasailing has also been transformed into a competition sport in Europe. In land-based competition parasailing, the parasail is towed to maximum height behind a 4-wheel-drive vehicle. The driver then releases the tow line; the parasailer flies down to a target area in an accuracy competition.
The sport was developed in the early 1980s and has been very popular ever since. The first international competitions were held in the mid-1980s and continue annually to this day. Over the years, the competitions have grown in scope as well as the number of participants.

হিমছড়ি জাতীয় উদ্যান ও জলপ্রপাত / ঝর্ণা: হিমছড়ি বাংলাদেশের চট্টগ্রাম বিভাগের কক্সবাজার জেলায় অবস্থিত একটি পর্যটনস্থল। কক্সবাজার থেকে এটি ১২ কিলোমিটার দূরে অবস্থিত। হিমছড়ির একপাশে রয়েছে সুবিস্তৃত সমুদ্র সৈকত আর অন্যপাশে রয়েছে সবুজ পাহাড়ের সারি। হিমছড়িতে একটি জলপ্রপাত রয়েছে যা এখানকার প্রধান পর্যটন আকর্ষণ। যদিও বর্ষার সময় ছাড়া অন্যান্য অনেক সময়ই ঝরণায় পানি থাকে না বা শুষ্ক থাকে। তবুও প্রাকৃতিক পরিবেশ হিসেবে হিমছড়ি, পর্যটকদের অনন্য এক আকর্ষণ।
দরিয়া নগর সী ভিউ পার্ক: কক্সবাজার শহর থেকে মেরিন ড্রাইভ সড়ক ধরে মাত্র আট কিলোমিটার পূর্বদিকে দরিয়ানগর পর্যটন কেন্দ্র। পশ্চিমে বিশাল বঙ্গোপসাগর, পূর্বে উঁচু পাহাড়। মাঝখানে কক্সবাজার-টেকনাফ পিচঢালা সড়ক। এই পথ ধরে এগিয়ে গেলেই সবুজে ঘেরা বড়ছেড়া গ্রাম। এই গ্রামের ৫৩ হেক্টর জমির ওপরে উঁচু-নিচু পাঁচটি পাহাড়ের সমন্বয়ে গড়ে উঠেছে এই বিনোদন কেন্দ্রটি। পাহাড়ের চূড়া থেকে প্রায় সাতশ’ ফুট গভীরে একটি প্রাচীন গুহাও রয়েছে এখানে। পকৃতি তার দু’হাত ভরে সৌন্দর্য বিতরণ করেছে দরিয়ানগরকে।
