What did India announce a ban on the export of wheat, it saw a big stir in the world. Many superpowers of the world started appealing to India, that India should not do this. The Agriculture Ministers of the countries belonging to the G7 group had specifically requested that India should not stop the export of wheat. Therefore, India has shown some easing in the ban imposed on wheat exports. Wheat which has gone to customs for export till May 13, or has been entered in custom's records, its export will not be stopped.

भारत ने गेहूं के निर्यात पर प्रतिबंध की घोषणा क्या की, इससे दुनिया में बड़ी हलचल देखी गई.. दुनिया की कई महाशक्तियां भारत से अपील करने लगीं, कि भारत ऐसा ना करे। G7 समूह से जुड़े देशों के कृषि मंत्रियों ने तो खास तौर से ये निवेदन किया था, कि भारत गेहूं का निर्यात ना रोके। लिहाज़ा भारत ने गेहूं निर्यात पर लगाए गए प्रतिबंध में थोड़ी नरमी दिखाई है। 13 मई तक जो गेहूं एक्सपोर्ट करने के लिये कस्टम में जा चुका है, या कस्टम के रिकॉर्ड्स में दर्ज कर लिया गया है, उसका निर्यात नहीं रोका जाएगा।
