Thomas Cup 2022: India won the first-ever Thomas Cup crown, dethroning 14-time champions Indonesia in Bangkok on Sunday. Lakshya Sen, Satwiksairaj-Chirag Shetty and Kidambi Srikanth clinched stunning victories to help India script history. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated India's history-making badminton team players and members of the support staff. PM Modi spoke around ten minutes to the players as he continued the tradition of congratulating India's sporting heroes after major victories personally over phone calls.
