Cyclone Asani Weakens Into Depression, Rainfall Expected Over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Bengal And Odisha

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the depression over coastal Andhra Pradesh weakened into a Well-Marked Low Pressure Area over the same region on May 12. IMD said it is likely to weaken further into a Low Pressure Area during the next 12 hours. IMD had said that Cyclone Asani had weakened into a depression. Cyclone Asani made landfall in coastal Andhra Pradesh on May 11 night. As reported by ANI, light to moderate rainfall is expected at several places with heavy rainfall at isolated places likely over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Bengal.
