Labor fends off criticism over backing minimum wage rise

The Opposition Leader has refused to demand the minimum wage be tied to inflation, despite yesterday throwing his support behind an increase of at least five-point-one per cent. He denies it's a softening of his position, and has tried to twist it back to a criticism of the Coalition, for not backing in a bigger pay rise for the nation's lowest paid workers.
