Kate forced to bow behind Anne as 'order of precedence came into force' on joint outing

The Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Anne carried out their first joint royal engagement last week. The outing took place at The Royal College of Midwives and The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Despite Kate being next in line to become Queen, Anne held more status than her at this particular event because Anne is a "princess by blood".
