Maharashtra politics have been intensified over loudspeaker issue. Earlier this month, Raj Thackeray demanded that loudspeakers at mosques in the state be removed by May 3, failing which, Hanuman Chalisa would be played at a higher volume outside such religious establishments. Meanwhile, taking action on this, Uddhav Thackeray has swung into action. In the first phase of this controversy, the Maharashtra government tried to end the mess by arresting the Rana couple, but now Raj Thackeray has stood firm on the front.
