A statue of Kempe Gowda is being installed outside this airport. But this is not any such statue, but the largest statue in the state of Karnataka. Whose total height is 108 feet. An interesting thing related to this statue is that a sword is also being installed on this statue. The weight of this sword alone is 4 thousand kg.

बेंगलुरू का अंतरराष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डा अब सिर्फ अबपनी खूबसूरती के लिये ही नहीं, बल्कि एक और बात के लिये लोगों के आकर्षण का केन्द्र बन रहा है। इस हवाई अड्डे के बाहर केम्पे गौ़ड़ा की एक प्रतिमा लगाई जा रही है। लेकिन ये कोई ऐसी-वैसी प्रतिमा नहीं है, बल्कि कर्नाटक राज्य की सबसे विशालतम प्रतिमा है। जिसकी कुल ऊंचाई 108 फीट है। इस प्रतिमा से जुड़ी एक दिलचस्प बात ये है, कि इस प्रतिमा पर एक तलवार भी लगाई जा रही है। अकेले इस तलवार का वज़न ही 4 हज़ार किलो है।
