A case of sedition was registered against the Rana couple, the charge of which was dismissed by both the accused. After the arrest, the Rana couple had filed a bail application in the court, which was opposed by the Mumbai Police. The Mumbai Police had requested both of them not to grant bail citing the already registered case.
