At present, there is a debate in the country about making Hindi the national language. On the claim of Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan that 'Hindi is our national language', the controversy is not stopping, actor Ajay Devgan gave a befitting reply to Kannada starrer Kichcha Sudeep's statement on Hindi language, after which now in this controversy. Former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has also arrived. Kumaraswamy has called Ajay Devgan's behavior ridiculous by tweeting.

देश में इस वक्त Hindi को राष्ट्रभाषा बनाने को लेकर बहस छिड़ी हुई है। एक तरफ जहां कुछ वर्ग हिंदी को राष्ट्रभाषा बनाने की मांग कर रहा है तो दूसरा वर्ग इसका विरोध कर रहा है। इस बहस में राजनीतिक लोगों के साथ-साथ फिल्मी सितारे भी उतर आए हैं। बॉलीवुड अभिनेता अजय देवगन के इस दावे पर कि 'हिंदी हमारी राष्ट्रीय भाषा है', पर विवाद थमने का नाम नहीं ले रहा,हिंदी भाषा पर एक्टर Ajay Devgan ने Kannada starrer Kichcha Sudeep के बयान पर मुंहतोड़ जवाब दिया, जिसके बाद अब इस विवाद में कर्नाटक के Former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy भी आ गए हैं। कुमारस्वामी ने ट्वीट कर अजय देवगन के व्यवहार को हास्यास्पद बताया है।
