Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who is in the United States this week, spoke about India-US relationships in the context of India's geography. The Finance Minister stated that a country can choose its friend but not its neighbour. She explained that India does not have an option to relocate and, hence the country has adopted a “calibrated stance”.
