Boris Johnson's India Visit: UK PM's Visit To JCB Factory Sparks Controversy

Boris Johnson, UK Prime Minister is on a two-day visit to India. On April 21, Johnson visited a JCB factory at Halol in Gujarat near Vadodara. PM Johnson’s visit came amid a raging controversy over demolishing houses & shops by BJP governments and municipalities. His visit has been criticised as tone-deaf and ironic, reported NDTV. PM Boris Johnson's visit coincided with the Supreme Court renewing orders to halt the demolitions in Jahangirpuri in Delhi, reported NDTV. Communal clashes were reported from the area a few days back. Johnson met industrialist Gautam Adani in Ahmedabad earlier in the day. The UK Prime Minister landed in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on April 21.
