Delhi Police launches investigation into Jahangirpuri violence

After the unfortunate Jahangirpuri violence, Special Commissioner of Police Dependra Pathak April 17, informed that situation in the area is completely under control.
“Situation is under total control; atmosphere is peaceful. We're in continuous touch with people and are appealing to maintain peace and not pay heed to rumours. Adequate number of police officials are here for protection. FIR filed, probe started,” he said.
Notably, clash broke out in Jahangirpuri area of Delhi on Hanuman Jayanti procession on April 16. Stones were pelted during the procession. Several vehicles have been vandalised by miscreants and police personnel have been injured in the incident.
