The southwest monsoon is likely to be normal this year, as per India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s long range rainfall forecast for Southwest Monsoon Season 2022. According to the forecast, seasonal rainfall (during June to September) over the country as a whole is most likely to be normal (i.e. 96 to 104 % of Long Period Average (LPA).
