کچھ موج ہوا پیچاں اے میرؔ نظر آئی

شاید کہ بہار آئی زنجیر نظر آئی

دلی کے نہ تھے کوچے اوراق مصور تھے

جو شکل نظر آئی تصویر نظر آئی

مغرور بہت تھے ہم آنسو کی سرایت پر

سو صبح کے ہونے کو تاثیر نظر آئی

گل بار کرے ہے گا اسباب سفر شاید

غنچے کی طرح بلبل دلگیر نظر آئی

اس کی تو دل آزاری بے ہیچ ہی تھی یارو

کچھ تم کو ہماری بھی تقصیر نظر آئی

ENGLISH:

kuchh mauj-e-hawa pechan ai 'mir' nazar aai

shayad ki bahaar aai zanjir nazar aai

dilli ke na the kuche auraq-e-musawwar the

jo shakl nazar aai taswir nazar aai

maghrur bahut the hum aansu ki sarayat par

so subh ke hone ko tasir nazar aai

gul-bar kare haiga asbab-e-safar shayad

ghunche ki tarah bulbul dil-gir nazar aai

us ki to dil-azari be-hech hi thi yaro

kuchh tum ko hamari bhi taqsir nazar aai

HINDI:

कुछ मौज-ए-हवा पेचाँ ऐ 'मीर' नज़र आई

शायद कि बहार आई ज़ंजीर नज़र आई

दिल्ली के न थे कूचे औराक़-ए-मुसव्वर थे

जो शक्ल नज़र आई तस्वीर नज़र आई

मग़रूर बहुत थे हम आँसू की सरायत पर

सो सुब्ह के होने को तासीर नज़र आई

गुल-बार करे हैगा असबाब-ए-सफ़र शायद

ग़ुंचे की तरह बुलबुल दिल-गीर नज़र आई

उस की तो दिल-आज़ारी बे-हेच ही थी यारो

कुछ तुम को हमारी भी तक़्सीर नज़र आई
