His magic is still intact. The Samajwadi Party, which is considered to be the main challenger in front of him, has met with a fate in the Legislative Council elections, which he would not have even guessed. Apart from this, the victory of independent candidates in the 3 seats where BJP has lost is also interesting.

पहले उत्तर प्रदेश विधान सभा चुनाव में प्रचंड बहुमत से जीत और अब विधान परिषज की 36 सीटों में से 33 पर विजय पताका लहरा कर बीजेपी ने साबित कर दिखाया है, कि उत्तर प्रदेश में चुनावी अखाड़े का असली सिकंदर कौर है। उसका तिलिस्म अभी भी बरकरार है। उसके सामन मुख्य चैलेंजर मानी जा रही समाजवादी पार्टी का विधान परिषद चुनाव में वो हश्र हुआ है, जिसका उसे अंदाज़ा भी नहीं रहा होगा। इसके अलावा जिन 3 सीटों पर बीजेपी हारी है, वहां विजयी रहे निर्दलीय उम्मीदवारों की जीत भी दिलचस्प है।
