Nurul Izzah not contesting in PKR polls, celebrities join the race

Permatang Pauh MP Nurul Izzah Anwar will not be contesting in the race for PKR’s top six positions.
Instead, the former PKR vice president who resigned from her post in December 2018 will focus on efforts to woo voters who are still on the fence ahead of the 15th general election.
Meanwhile, two celebrities are expected to ramp things up in the forthcoming PKR party election, particularly in its Ampang division.
According to PKR insiders, actor Hans Isaac and rapper Altimet have signed up to run for the Ampang division chief post, a seat that was once held by Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin before she defected from PKR and joined Bersatu.
