agar yaqin nahin aata to aazmae mujhe

wo aaina hai to phir aaina dikhae mujhe

ajab charagh hun din raat jalta rahta hun

main thak gaya hun hawa se kaho bujhae mujhe

main jis ki aankh ka aansu tha us ne qadr na ki

bikhar gaya hun to ab ret se uThae mujhe

bahut dinon se main in pattharon mein patthar hun

koi to aae zara der ko rulae mujhe

main chahta hun ki tum hi mujhe ijazat do

tumhaari tarah se koi gale lagae mujhe

Urdu:
اگر یقیں نہیں آتا تو آزمائے مجھے

وہ آئنہ ہے تو پھر آئنہ دکھائے مجھے

عجب چراغ ہوں دن رات جلتا رہتا ہوں

میں تھک گیا ہوں ہوا سے کہو بجھائے مجھے

میں جس کی آنکھ کا آنسو تھا اس نے قدر نہ کی

بکھر گیا ہوں تو اب ریت سے اٹھائے مجھے

بہت دنوں سے میں ان پتھروں میں پتھر ہوں

کوئی تو آئے ذرا دیر کو رلائے مجھے

میں چاہتا ہوں کہ تم ہی مجھے اجازت دو

تمہاری طرح سے کوئی گلے لگائے مجھے
Hindi:
अगर यक़ीं नहीं आता तो आज़माए मुझे

वो आइना है तो फिर आइना दिखाए मुझे

अजब चराग़ हूँ दिन रात जलता रहता हूँ

मैं थक गया हूँ हवा से कहो बुझाए मुझे

मैं जिस की आँख का आँसू था उस ने क़द्र न की

बिखर गया हूँ तो अब रेत से उठाए मुझे

बहुत दिनों से मैं इन पत्थरों में पत्थर हूँ

कोई तो आए ज़रा देर को रुलाये मुझे

मैं चाहता हूँ कि तुम ही मुझे इजाज़त दो

तुम्हारी तरह से कोई गले लगाए मुझे
