Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur on April 04 launched ‘Broadcast Seva Portal’ in New Delhi. This portal will provide easy communication between the applicant and different stakeholders for smooth processing. “Media and entertainment sector growing continuously. It is a USD 25 Billion industry; will be USD 30 Billion n in next 2 years. Speaking of media exclusively, we have over 900 satellite TV channels today, over 1762 multi-service operators,350 community radio stations, over 380 FM channels,” Thakur added.
