India's neighboring country Sri Lanka is going through a big economic crisis these days. The condition of this country, which is struggling with the lack of foreign exchange, has become such that its direct impact is visible on the civil systems here. Here people have to worry even for their daily needs. Here on one hand, while the acute shortage of fuel has persisted for the last several weeks, it has also had a profound effect on most of the power stations here. As a result of which there is now power failure for 12-12 hours a day.

भारत का पड़ोसी देश श्रीलंका इन दिनों बड़े आर्थिक संकट से गुज़र रहा है। विदेशी विनिमय की कमी से जूझते इस देश की हालत अब ऐसी हो गई है, कि इसका सीधा असर यहां की नागरिक व्यवस्थाओं पर पड़ता दिख रहा है। यहां रोज़मर्रा की ज़रूरतों के लिये भी लोगों को परेशान होना पड़ रहा है। यहां एक ओर जहां ईंधन की भारी किल्लत पिछले कई हफ्तों से लगातार बनी हुई है, तो वहीं यहां के अधिकतर पावर स्टेशंस पर भी इसका गहरा असर पड़ा है। जिसका नतीजा ये हुआ कि यहां अब दिन में 12-12 घंटे तक बिजली गुल रहती है।
