Abang Jo_ Umno, PAS wanted to enter Sarawak, we said don't come
  • 2 years ago
Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) had previously rejected the entry of Peninsular-based parties such as Umno and PAS because it did not want religious and sensitive issues to be played out in the state.

Sarawak Premier Abang Johari Openg, who is also the GPS chairperson, said issues such as the controversy over the name of the Timah whiskey will not arise due to the culture of tolerance practiced by the people of Sarawak.

He said this while attending a dinner with a delegation from the Sarawak Business Federation and the Malaysian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kuching on Monday.
