The lockdown will be
conducted in two phases.
From March 28 to April 1, the Pudong financial district and surrounding areas will enter lockdown.
On April 1, the downtown area west of the Huangpu River will begin a five-day lockdown. .
Anything that is not deemed essential will be closed, and all residents will be required to stay home.
Deliveries will be brought to checkpoints instead of to people's homes.
Public transportation will
also be suspended.
