Queen's disapproving glare is a 'defence mechanism' and 'royal paradox', claims expert

While out and about Her Majesty is seen as the picture of decorum and good manners, even though she is sometimes accused of looking stern in public. However, it must not be mistaken for rudeness, according to a royal biographer.  The expert has instead revealed the reason behind this "aloof" expression and it is not necessarily a reflection of negative emotion or disapproval. Robert Hardman, author of the recently published ‘Queen of Our Times: The Life of Elizabeth II’, told OK!
